Two arrested on drug charges in Geraldton

GREENSTONE — Two people face several charges after police searched a residence in Geraldton.

Provincial police executed a search warrant at a residence on Third Street West in Greenstone on June 10.

The investigation led to the seizure of suspected methamphetamine, cocaine, and crack cocaine, along with cash and other items associated with drug trafficking, including an imitation firearm.

Duke Desharnais, a 28-year-old from Geraldton, is charged with two counts of drug possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, and two counts of failure to comply with a release order.

Joseph Begin, a 27-year-old from Geraldton, is charged with two counts of drug possession for the purpose of trafficking.

Both were remanded in custody.

The charges have yet to be tested in court.
