MARATHON — Two people face charges after a recent break-in at a local business.
Provincial police began an investigation after receiving a report last month that the business was broken into on Feb. 19, leading to a large quantity of gift cards being stolen.
Police arrested the first suspect, 41-year-old George Bourgeois, on Feb. 27 and charged him with break and enter to commit an indictable offence, mischief under $5,000, and failure to comply with a release order.
On March 10, police arrested 39-year-old Suzanne Robinson and charged her with two counts of failure to comply with a release order, break and enter to commit an indictable offence, and mischief under $5,000.
Both have been remanded into custody with future appearance dates.
The charges have yet to be tested in court.
