NIPIGON — Two people are facing stunt driving charges after police caught up with them over the long weekend.
On Aug. 2, OPP in Nipigon was doing radar enforcement on Hwy 11/17 around 11 a.m.
Officers clocked one vehicle driving 160 km/hr. A 27-year-old man from British Columbia was arrested and charged accordingly.
Then on Aug. 4, at approximately 9 a.m., members of the Nipigon OPP Detachment were again on general patrol conducting radar enforcement on Hwy 11/17 near Nipigon and caught another driver doing 157 km/h.
Another B.C. resident, a 31-year-old male, was also charged with stunt driving.
Both drivers were granted 30-day roadside licence suspensions and 14-day vehicle impoundments.
Both accused are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Nipigon at a later date.
