MARATHON—With the Municipal Election coming soon, the Municipality of Marathon provided its residents with a reminder about how they will be voting.
According to their recent media release, voting will be done ONLINE only.
Voting will open Oct. 14, at 10:00 a.m. until Oct. 24, 2022 at 8:00 p.m., giving residents 10 days to vote.
They reminded residents of who can vote, and how they can vote, indicating that a Voter Instruction Letter with a personal identification number through Canada Post that will grant voters access to the voting system.
Residents are asked to call the Municipal Office to ensure that they are on the voter’s list in order to receive the Voter Instruction Letter.
In addition, the community was made aware of an important deadline, regarding receipt of this letter. If any resident has not received the Voter Instruction Letter by Oct. 13, they are to contact the voter help line at: 807-229-1340 ext. 222.
