UPDATE: One person was hurt in Tuesday's transport truck collision near Geraldton

GREENSTONE, Ont. — Ontario Provincial Police have released new information concerning the outcome of a tractor-trailer collision Tuesday near Geraldton.

One transport truck rear-ended a second transport truck in the westbound lane of Highway 11.

Initial reports from police indicated two people had suffered serious injuries.

OPP on Wednesday clarified that one individual suffered minor injuries.

A 31-year-old man from Brampton was taken to hospital in Thunder Bay for treatment.

The collision forced a lengthy closure of the highway.

There was no immediate word from police on whether charges are being laid.
