SCHREIBER—The Township of Schreiber informed residents that their Canada Day Flyer that was mailed out to them had incorrect times. They posted an update with the correct times on the township Facebook page.
- Correct information and times for their Canada Day celebrations are as follows:
- Canada Day events will run from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Schreiber Ball Field
- Soap Box will run rain or shine
All other events will be moved to the Schreiber Arena
- Opening ceremonies and blessing is scheduled for 11 a.m.,
- Senior BBQ is at 11:30 a.m.
- Bingo and Kids games 1 p.m.
- Cake 1:30 p.m.
Soap box derby and bed races will also be featured.
The township also indicated that Pays Plat First Nations will join in the celebrations of Canada Day, July 1, 2022, as they will perform a traditional ceremony and blessing.
