WAWA—The Municipality of Wawa informed residents that the Michipicoten River Village road asphalt patching that began June 28, will focus on completing asphalt patch work on deteriorated sections of the Michipicoten River Village road.
This represents the township’s continued commitment to upgrading the existing road infrastructure and increase road longevity.
As a result of this needed road resurfacing work, residents will notice that construction equipment and material deliveries will be travelling along this road and that the traffic volume of these construction deliveries will vary.
The township assures its residents that all road resurfacing work will be maintained within the existing roadway and that working hours for this resurfacing project will be Monday to Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Should this schedule need to change the township will update its notices to reflect those changes.
As a consequence of this construction work, is noise; which according to the township can at times exceed 85dBA. They assure the community that work will be scheduled in accordance with local noise bylaws. However, due to technically challenging construction work, some work may be necessary outside regular hours.
