WAWA- With Participaction’s #communitybetterchallenge starting Thursday, the Municipality of Wawa wants its residents to go out and get active. Last year the city came in 4th place in Ontario and this year they are hoping to do it again or even place higher.
In a recent post on the city website, they highlighted the activity of “Gardening as a great way to get your “Move Minutes”. In line with this theme, the municipality issued a local challenge to its residents, that involves gardening.
As part of their initiative to get the community moving, the municipality is hosting Community Garden Clean Up Day.
It is a day when friends and family can come together and help the Wawa Community Garden look great.
The event is scheduled to take place on Sunday, June 5, 2022, starting at 1 p.m. at the Wawa Community Garden, located at 31 Algoma Street.
