Women’s Curling Leaders Circle and Ontario Curling Council reschedules “Girls Rock” event

NIPIGON -- The Township of Nipigon recently informed residents that the “Girls Rock” event hosted by the Women’s Curling Leaders Circle and Ontario Curling Council has been rescheduled for Sunday, March 27, 2022.

The event will run from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., at the Port Arthur Curling Club, located at 214 Egan Street in Thunder Bay and is put on for all girls from Grade 7 and up. No previous curling experience is needed and all athletes in other sports are welcome to participate.

This free event will offer new curling skills offered by experienced coaches and curlers from across Canada. Participants are asked to bring clean runners and to be dressed in comfortable stretchy clothing and their own equipment. Everything else will be provided.

The organizers added that the first 40 girls who register for this event, are promised an afternoon of curling skills instruction, fun and gameplay.
