It is with deep sorrow that the family of Addie Mabel Wing announces her passing on July 20, 2022 at Hogarth Riverview Manor. Formerly of Paipoonge Township, Addie spent most of her life in and around the Thunder Bay area.
Born to George and Mabel Atwood on December 7, 1926, Addie was the fourth of 6 children and spent her formative summers in and around Dorion. Addie married Loren Leslie Wing on July 7, 1951.
In her earlier years, Addie and Loren enjoyed summers at their camp on Shebandowan. Addie enjoyed volunteering and was a long time member of St. Marks Anglican Church, Christian Women’s Club, Rural 60 Plus, Shelter House, Paipoonge Museum and several other groups in and around the Rosslyn area.
Addie is survived by her 4 sons: Lesley (Michelle), James (Catherine), Daniel (Janet) and Ronald; 7 grandchildren: Gregg (Stephanie), Adam (Diana), Neil (Chrystal), Robin, Caitlyn, Eric and Bailey; 5 great grandchildren: Victor, Londyn, Kasy, Tristan and Skylar. Addie is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews as well as in-laws Albert Wing (Bernice), Joyce Raynard, Diane Atwood and Rita Atwood.
Interment will take place on Monday, July 25, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. in the family plot at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Pastor Anthony Fiorito officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the TBRHSC or charity of choice would be appreciated.
