Carmela “Carmelina” Casoria, age 83 passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 14, 2021, in at the St. Joseph’s Hospital. Carmelina was born February 3, 1938, in Curinga, Catanzaro,

Italy to parents Salvatore and Angela Gallo. She was a member of the Italian Hall and CWL Church St. Anthony. Her passions were gardening, baking, and cooking. She was proud of her faith, friends, and family. Carmelina was often seen cheering on the Italian soccer league.

The time that she had dedicated to her home and her family was undeniably pure. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Trish (Dino) DeVuono, by her son Fabrizio, by her grandchildren Daniela(Ryan), Nathan(Kimberly), Stephanie(Justin), Cassandra, Matthew(Marissa), Maxwel and by her six greatgrandchildren Scotlynn, Sienna, Kinsley, Kyley, Brady and Kruz, by her brother Domenico and Giuglio as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband Pasquale, by her parents Salvatore and Angela, by her brother Aurelio and Nicola, by her sisters Felica and Concetta.

A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, December 22, 2021, when family and friends will gather in St. Anthony’s R.C. Church for the Funeral Mass beginning at 11:00 a.m. celebrated by Rev. Luigi Filippini. A private family only entombment to follow in Our Lady of Charity Mausoleum. Visitation for friends will be held on Wednesday from 10:00 am to 11:00 a.m. in the church. As per the Ontario Covid-19 regulations, those attending the mass must provide proof of double vaccination and proper identification.
