It is with great sadness that the family of Mrs. Cheryl Lynn Mott announce her passing on Sunday, May 14, 2023, in St. Joseph's Hospital, at the age of 66.

Cheryl was born on June 29,1956 in Port Arthur. She attended Lakehead University and obtained her psychology degree. She was a proud member of MENSA, the largest and oldest established society for individuals with high IQ.

She was an avid gardener and loved animals, especially horses, birds, and her dogs. She was a talented crocheter with a great sense of humour and a proud grandmother. Cheryl loved holidays and always made them special for her family, the most important thing in her life.

She is survived by her loving husband, Dave; daughters, Sarah (Justin) Johnson, Jacqueline Galick (Dave Earl); grandchildren, Arion Galick, Nicholas and Aaralyn Earl; great-granddaughter Elara Galick; mother, Germaine Thompson; brothers, Rick (Dawn) Thompson and Kevin (Martha) Thompson, fur baby Rogan; as well as nieces, nephews and other extended relatives.

She was predeceased by her son, Theodore Adam Galick; father, Bruce Thompson; and brother, Mark Thompson.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm on Friday, May 19, 2023 in EVEREST FUNERAL CHAPEL, 299 Waverley Street at Algoma. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery.

If friends so desire, in lieu of flowers donations in Cheryl's memory can be made to the Thunder Bay District Humane Society.
