Our Father missed our Mother so much that he could not stay away from her. Cliff passed away in his sleep on August 2, only 10 weeks after his wife Mary also passed. While the world lost an incredible man, he is now reunited with the woman he loves. Cliff was born in Thunder Bay to Faye and George Miller, as the second born. In his teenage years, he met Mary and spent almost the rest of his life with her. They had two children, Jessica and James.
Cliff became an Optician in 1970, and in 1988 he made the decision to go out on his own and purchase Fort Optical, a business that he ran for 30 years. During that time, he got to work with many members of his family within the business including, but not limited to his wife, daughter and son. He enjoyed one of the best customer bases anyone could have. After his retirement, he could not contain his excitement about his next venture as a crossing guard.
Cliff loved spending time with his family. He kept Jessica and James both very active in sports and past-times, volunteered with the Beavers, Cubs and Scouts, and was heavily involved with both St. Andrew’s Presbyterian and Redwood Park Alliance churches. He loved the family vacations and evening walks with his wife. Cliff is predeceased by his wife, his mother Faye, father George and step-fathers Edwin and Erik, and dogs Tigger and Sable. He is survived by his daughter Jessica (Reed), son James, grandkids Aaliah and Crystal, sister Maureen, brothers David and Doug, and brother-in-law Bobby.
We would like to thank everyone for being so supportive since the passing of our mother. While it was not an easy period for my father, he really enjoyed hanging out with many of you. A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, August 19 at 11:00am at Redwood Park Church. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to Redwood Park Church.
