It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Dr. Elaine Johnson on 6th April, 2023.
She will be eternally missed by her husband Dr. David Johnson, her children Deborah (Allan) and Richard (Susan), her grandchildren Kent, Jade, and Charlotte, and her sister Joan.
Elaine was born in Trinidad and obtained her medical degree from University College Dublin, Ireland. While in medical school, she met and married David. They were married for 54 years. Elaine was a loving daughter, wife, mother, and grandmother.
Elaine was an incredibly intelligent woman who was passionate, driven and she was strong right until the end of her life.
Cremation has taken place as per Elaine's wishes. A private family service will be held at a later date.
The family would like to thank all the healthcare and support staff who helped David care for Elaine over the years. We would like to express our gratitude for the nurses and PSW staff from Bayshore. We would like to further extend a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Andrew Migay and Amanda (R.N.), devoted members of the hospice unit at St. Joseph's Care Group, and to Dr. Christopher Allison, Dr. Wesley Fidler and the doctors and staff at the renal clinic.
