It is with profound sadness that the family announces the death of Elisabeta Vicol (nee Boica), peacefully in Southbridge Pinewood on Thursday, March 14, 2024.
Elisabeta was born in Romania on May 15, 1934. She met Gheorghe Vicol and they were married on April 29, 1953, raising 3 children together, Maria-Lana, Carmen and Liviu. Elisabeta immigrated to Canada in 1993 to join her husband who came in 1987. She was a dedicated homemaker for her family. Elisabeta enjoyed knitting, cooking, baking and gardening. Above all else, being with her family was her greatest pleasure and she loved trips back to Romania to see her daughters and grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by all.
Elisabeta is survived by her loving son Liviu and daughters Maria-Lana and Carmen (Mihai); grandchildren, Cristi, Andrei, Alexandru and Mihai; sister Olimpia and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Gheorghe; her parents and 7 siblings.
The burial will take place on Tuesday, March 19, 2024 at 11:00am in St. Andrew's Cemetery for family and friends.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Westfort Chapel, 420 West Gore Street at James.
