With broken hearts, we are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Eugene Marozzo, age 67, on May 5, 2025, who passed away peacefully at St. Joseph’s Care Group with family by his side. Born on September 21, 1957, in Italy and raised in Thunder Bay, he is survived by his wife of 45 years, Bette; children Jamie (Kristen) and Alex (Emily); grandchildren Maddison, Gavin, Maya and Jack; brothers Artie, Angelo (Bonnie) and Frank (Annette); nephews and niece Michael, Geoffrey, Nolan and Carly. He is predeceased by his parents, Saverio and Marta; brother Tony; father and mother-in-law Roy and Leone Hanton; and sister-in-law Laraine Callin.
Eugene worked at various construction companies in Thunder Bay, including Makkinga Contracting, where he was a highly respected and valued member for over 30 years.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Italian Cultural Centre on May 20, 2025, at 11am. In lieu of flowers, if desired donations can be made to a local charity of your choosing.
