Memories that's all that we have and we will forever cherish them. Mom passed away Aug 27, 2023 with her family by her side at Pioneer Ridge. It brings us great peace to know she can now rest.

Mom was born Dec 11, 1930 and grew up on the small island of Bornholm Denmark with her 5 brothers and 1 sister. It was also there where she first met our father, Peter Jensen. August of 1955, Mom, Dad and their daughter, Jonna B. Deley, left Denmark with only the things they could carry and immigrated to and settled in the small predominately Danish community of Pass Lake. Life at first was difficult because of the physical hardships and language barrier. But Mom and Dad persevered and grew strong and then welcomed their son, Jimmy (Debby) into the world. Mom was well known for her beautiful garden, her red current bushes, strawberries and preserves. She loved spending time in the kitchen creating excellent meals and baking delicious treats. The grandchildren were the apple of Mom's eyes and she became lovingly known as the "Cookie Gramma". The grandchildren are: Bryan (Rose) Deley; Tyler (Paris) Deley; Aaron (Natasha) Jensen; Gregory (Jaime) Jensen and Curtis (Bianca) Jensen. Mom was absolutely thrilled when great grandchildren started arriving, being: Adlai, Kezia, Teagan, Hadyn, Amara, Freya, Soren Jensen and Asher, Jager and Thera Deley.

Mom was predeceased by Dad, her siblings and great granddaughter Kezia.

We would like to express a heartfelt thanks to the staff at Pioneer Ridge and Jasper Court who were involved in Mom's care and who treated her with warmth and compassion.

All friends and family are invited to an informal Celebration of Life to be held September 24, 2023 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Pass Lake Community Hall on Pass Lake East Road. Pastor Ed Long will officiate a private interment of Mom's cremains at the Salem Lutheran Church Cemetery.

As expressions of sympathy and in lieu of flowers, donations would be greatly appreciated made to the Salem Lutheran Church building fund or a charity of your choice.
Condolences may be made through www.nwfainc.com
