Mr. Jimmy R. Beardy, 57, a member of Muskrat Dam First Nation residing in Thunder Bay ON was born on May 31, 1964 and grew up in Red Lake ON with his family. As he is the beloved son of the late Rev. Absolom and Rev. Rhoda Beardy (nee Cromarty), a brother, uncle, great-uncle, great-great uncle and friend to many - he will be deeply missed. Jimmy was a long-time member of the Faith City Church. He was a person of strong faith and knowledge in the Word of God with the support of his family, church family, community in Thunder Bay, and many relations and friends across the North.

When he was born, Jimmy was expected to not live much long past his teen years and doctors recommended that he be institutionalized, but we are grateful that the LORD blessed him with a long life.

Jimmy was a very independent man and is well-known around Thunder Bay for riding his bike, going for coffee with friends, going to the gym, eating out at restaurants, travelling with friends and family, celebrating birthday parties, and playing Scrabble and boardgames. He was an avid photographer and photo collector of all his family members and events. Jimmy loved American flags and memorabilia, gospel CDs and the original Hawaii Five-0 TV show. Of note, Uncle Jimmy kept track of all family members and our relations.

Jimmy leaves behind his brothers Rev. Levi Samson (Viola), Ethan “Eddie” (Mary Jane), Rev. Roy (Ester), George, Walter (Joylynne); sisters Rev. Orpah McKenzie, Edith Whiskeychan (Glen), Emma Loon (Lawrence), Sandra Munroe, Charlotte Scott (Irvin); aunts Phyllis Chowaniec (Mike), Elsie Stoney, Daisy Nothing, Ida Flett, Becky Cromarty, and uncles Gordon Beardy (Clara) and Joe Keeper; 27 nieces and nephews Jennifer, Alanna, Abby, Francine, Randy, Krista, Sarah, Aaron, Amanda, Ian, Melanie, Justin, Eric, Starlene, Leon, Kody, Gabriel, Christine, Rachel, Andrew, Derek, Gregory, Ashton, Blair, David, McCartney and Shannon; 45 great-nieces and nephews and 1 great-great-niece Kylie Jane.
