Joseph Leslie Milks passed away on Thursday, April 18, 2024 at TBRHSC surrounded by family.
Joe was born in Fort William on October 19, 1947 to Leslie and Reta Milks.
Joe was a bus driver with Thunder Bay Transit for 28 years. He loved his job and made many special friends over his years of driving.
He was also active with Alcoholics Anonymous and was proud of his 45 years of sobriety. Attending meetings and volunteering at Intergroup was a big part of his life.
Joe is survived by his wife, Marlene, her children Glenn (Nicole) Prowett and Gayle Prowett, siblings Judy (Mike) Dean, Mike (Kathleen) Milks and Mary Lou Milks, in-laws Joanne McFarling and Albert (Linda) Busby. Also surviving are his grandchildren Adele, Jakob and Joshua and his much loved nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by parents Leslie and Reta Milks, parents-in-law Martin and Marion Busby as well as brothers-in-law Larry McFarling and Norman Busby.
Funeral Mass will be held at St Agnes Parish on Thursday, April 25, 2024 at 12:10pm. A private family interment will follow.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Northern Cancer Fund or to Lakehead Intergroup (A.A.)
