It is with heavy hearts that the family of Kathleen “Kay” O’Barska announces her passing on July 5, 2023 at Roseview Carehome.
Kay was a devoted wife and mother and a loving and caring woman who took in many foster children over the years and gave them a stable and loving home. She was a woman of deep faith and a lifelong member of the Catholic Women’s League. She enjoyed camping, sewing, gardening, playing bridge, bowling, and listening to music.
Kay is lovingly remembered by her daughter Debby (John) Witner, son Bob O’Barska, grandsons Ian Witner and Aaron Witner, great-grandchildren Linken Witner, Vanessa Witner, Caleb Witner, and Audrey Witner.
She was predeceased by her husband of 66 years Don O’Barska, mother Sheala Wallick, father Bill Wallick, and brother Stan Wallick.
A visitation will be held on Monday, July 10, from 5-7pm, at Sargent & Son Funeral Chapel. A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, July 11, at 11am, at Our Lady of Loretto R.C. Church. Interment following in St. Andrew’s Cemetery.
Special thanks to the staff at Roseview for their care and kindness in Kay’s final days. Memorial donations to the Children’s Aid Society would be sincerely appreciated.
