It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beautiful mom, and nana in the early morning hours of Monday, December 12, 2022 after a short illness. Mom was born in Jogues, Ontario where she lived until the age of 10, relocating to Red Rock, Ontario where she lived the rest of her life. Mom had a beautiful spirit, welcoming everyone into her world.

Mom also had a wonderful sense of humour. Mom’s life changed when she lost her husband of 50 years, Carl, in 2016. Mom never recovered from losing dad.

Mom’s family was the most important part of her life. Mom leaves a beautiful legacy of children, grand children, and great grandchildren to keep her life and memory alive. Mom is survived by sons Terry(Teak), Duane (Melina), grand children Brandon (Rylee), Tyler (Nicole), Dillon, and Shyloe, great grandchildren, Mason, Emily, Madisyn, Jordan, Adeline, and Nolan. Mom is also survived by her siblings, Joe (Jeannette) of Calgary, Rose Ann (Grahn), Clarence (Paula), and Laurie (George). Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

Mom is predeceased by her brother Loring, in 1976, her father Clarence in 1997, her mom Theresa, in 2015, and the love of her life, Carl, in 2016.

Mom’s wish was to be cremated with no service. We will inter her ashes in a private ceremony at a later date in the Nipigon Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a donation to a charity of your choice, in Mom’s name, would be appreciated.

We would like to thank the doctors and nursing staff at the Nipigon Hospital for the exceptional care given to our mom. We would like to especially thank Judy Harvey for always being there for our mom and providing outstanding care to her.

Do not stand at my grave and weep,
I am not there, I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glint on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you wake in the morning hush,
I am the swift, uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circling flight.
I am the soft starlight at night.
Do not stand at my grave and weep.
I am not there, I do not sleep.
Do not stand at my grave and cry.
I am not there, I did not die!
