October 11, 1984 – May 28, 2025

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Michel “Mikey” Poulin on May 28, 2025, at the age of 40, surrounded by the love of his family. Born on October 11, 1984, Mikey was a beloved father, son, brother, uncle, nephew and friend who touched the lives of everyone who had the honor of knowing him.

Mikey faced his battle with cancer with remarkable courage and resilience, never once complaining and fighting valiantly to the very end. His strength and determination were nothing short of inspiring to all who stood by his side.

A proud and passionate Pipeline Technician with TC Energy since August 2014, Mikey was deeply committed to his career, earning respect and admiration for his intelligence, work ethic, and unwavering dedication. He could fix anything and brought that same ingenuity and problem-solving spirit to every aspect of his life. Family, friends, and colleagues alike knew they could count on Mikey for help, no matter the challenge.

Mikey’s greatest joy came from spending time with his sons, Joel and Nicholas, teaching them skills and lessons in the garage, sharing his love of the outdoors, and creating memories filled with fishing, hunting, and laughter. His legacy of love, knowledge, and values lives on through them.

He is lovingly remembered by his sons Joel and Nicholas (Mother – Julie Poulin), his parents, André and Linda, his sister Julie Nash (Trevor), and his cherished nephews and niece, Liam and Austin Nash, Jerome & Shaeley (Luc Rouillard), Max and Sam (Matthieu Rouillard). Mikey also leaves behind many adored cousins, uncles, aunts, and friends who will forever hold him in their hearts.

A celebration of Mikey’s extraordinary life and spirit will take place on Saturday June 14th at 46 MacPhail Drive, Geraldton ON at 3:00pm. In the meantime, we remember him for the kindness he offered, the wisdom he shared, and the boundless love he gave.

Mikey, your strength, humor, and honest wisdom will forever be missed but never forgotten. May you find peace and rest, knowing the lives you touched and the love you gave will endure.

Should friends so desire, donations made in memory of Michel to Geraldton Minor Hockey would be greatly appreciated.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Everest – Westfort Chapel, 420 West Gore Street, Thunder Bay.
