It is with great sadness that the family of Patrice Ann Moore (Johnson) announce her sudden passing on Friday April 19, 2024. Pat was born in Fort William, ON on March 9, 1957, and was raised in Thunder Bay. Pat’s keen interest in numbers lead her to a career in accounting. She worked for various companies such as MNT Construction, Wing Construction, Superior Wireless and for the last 20 years at Steve Ward Contracting.

Her biggest passion, however, was her family. Pat met the love of her life, Mickey, in 1976. They welcomed Rhiah in 1979 and, 5 years later, Kelly. Pat then became a dedicated mother. Whether it was dance, gymnastics, hockey, or soccer, she was always there to support and cheer for her girls. In 2000, Pat reunited with her daughter Tara, born in 1974, and they shared a close and loving relationship. Becoming a grandmother was the proudest and most exciting time in Pat’s life. She spent almost every vacation day visiting and spending time with her grandkids. They will always remember Gramma for the gift boxes she sent throughout the year to remind them how special they were.

Pat made many friends over the years, all who will miss her. She lived for the special times spent at the camp at Pete’s Lake playing Rummoli until all hours of the night with close friends and family, and her ‘Survivor’ nights with all her friends at Denny’s house. In her later years, she developed a special bond with her friends from Your Body Fitness.

Pat is lovingly remembered by her daughters Tara Brodie (Mike Skerratt), Rhiah Moore (Mike Mauvieux) and Kelly Moore; grandchildren Emma Brodie (Cameron Andrews), Ethan Brodie, Savayah Mauvieux, Elwyn Reynolds, Emerick Reynolds; bonus grandchildren Sabreena Dancy, Wes Anderson, Leeanne Anderson, and Mackenzie Skerratt; and great granddaughter Rayna Andrews; brother Michael Johnson and brother-in-law Randy Moore.

Pat was predeceased by her husband Michael (Mickey) Moore, her father Peter Johnson, mother Anne Johnson (Dowhy), her sister Marie Johnson, and brothers-in-law Kenneth Moore and Daniel Moore.

A Celebration of Pat’s life will be held on Friday, April 26th, 2024, between 2 pm and 5 pm at the Royal Canadian Slovak Legion, 801 Atlantic Avenue, Thunder Bay. If friends so desire, in lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Thunder Bay District Humane Society.
