Marilyn Patricia (Pat) Babiak (Nee Polhill) sadly passed away on Tuesday December 20, 2022 at the age of 83 years of age from her battle with cancer in Chilliwack, BC.
Survived by her husband William (Bill) Babiak and her children Jennifer Thomson (Lynn Isaac) and Brian Thomson (Susan Thomson) and her Grandson James Thomson. Predeceased by her parents George Polhill and Anne Toyra, along with her sisters Carol Polhill and Sandra Polhill.
Pat was born in Fort William Ontario and got her training in the Royal Canadian Airforce as a Registered Nursing Assistant. She worked at Sudbury General Hospital, North York General Hospital in Toronto and Beacon Hill Lodge in Thunder Bay. Before she retired early in her early 50’s, she worked at Canadian Tire on Arthur Street in Thunder Bay, Ontario for a number of years.
Her last 22 years, she and her husband Bill resided in Chilliwack, British Columbia where they travelled extensively in their early years seeing many countries and creating loving memories together. They both were devoted to the church in both Thunder Bay, Ontario (Redwood Church and Evangel Church) and in Chilliwack, BC at Alliance Church where they formed many great friendships. They volunteered together helping people in palliative care in Thunder Bay, Ontario and at Ruth and Naomi's Mission Family Centre in Chilliwack, BC helping the homeless.
She will always be remembered, loved and missed for touching so many lives.
