It is with extreme sadness that the family of Randal Kenneth Zywina announces his unexpected passing from a tragic MVA on June 8, 2023.

Randy was born on May 29, 1973 to Ronald and Karen Zywina in Thunder Bay, Ontario. Randy graduated from St. Ignatius High School and then enrolled in Confederation College. He worked at Mission Paper mill, Alstrom (Bombardier) as well as various other jobs.

Randy is survived by sons Zachary (Megan), Evan and Nicholas Zywina. He will be deeply missed by parents Ron and Karen Zywina, brothers Dale (special friend Heather Robinson) and Trevor Zywina (Allison O’Dell).

Randy had some very special friends in his life, too many to mention; they are surrounding the family at this time. Randy loved his family deeply and wished things could have been different.

We thank Dr. Jim Scali for all the care and support he has given Randy over the years.

Randy enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing guitar, camping and especially walking with his dogs Lego and Zoey in the Current River area.

Randy is predeceased by infant daughter Abigale Rebecca, grandparents Mona and Ken Strey, Regina and George Coulombe, special Aunt Lorraine Nalli. He is survived by many uncles, aunts and cousins.

A reception in celebration of Randy’s life will be held from 12:00 until 2:00 p.m. on Friday, June 16, 2023 in the hall of Harbourview Funeral Centre. In lieu of flowers please consider Canadian Mental Health, Salvation Army or the charity of your choice.

With his beautiful smile, Randy will be remembered for his love of family and eagerness to help others.
