Robert (Bob) John Howald passed away peacefully in the hospital on May 7, 2023.
He was born May 24, 1942, to Clifford and Anastasia Howald. Robert worked his entire career for the M.T.O. retiring after 35 years. He was a man of few words, but most of his words were intelligent and witty . Robert had a passion for sports. He was involved in many leagues’ baseball, football, broomball, hockey, bowling, curling and so many more. Nothing ever seemed to bother Robert apart from the yellow dandelion in his beautiful green grass. When one would appear, he would grab his trusty screwdriver and pluck it out by the root, he would spend all day if need be.
He is survived by his loving wife Diana, daughters Louise (Kevin) and Leah (Rob), Sons Clifford (Tracy) and Jeffray (Cathy), Grandchildren, Jennifer (Julian), Amber (Ryan), Christopher (Kyra), Kaylyn (Mark), Austin, Aiden (Sienna) and Emma (Liam), and four great grandchildren Emily, Lucas, Camron, Jaxon. He is also survived by his sister Diane (Bob), Miles and many nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held for Robert at the Wayland, 1019 Gore St w. on June 17th, 2023, from 2:00 – 5:00Pm.
