It is with peacefully broken hearts we announce that Ryan Stewart, age 30, of Oliver Paipoonge, passed away on January 8, 2023 with loved ones by his side.

Ryan was born on June 29, 1992 to Patricia and Kenneth Stewart. He loved working on vehicles, fishing and camping with friends, hunting, and causing ruckus wherever he went. Ryan was a fun-loving friend who could always put a smile on your face no matter what the situation was. He could make a joke about literally anything and find a solution to any problem quickly. He was the first to lend a helping hand and offer his guidance whenever he could. No challenge was too big for this stubborn mule of a man. He was excited to start his career in the automotive field working at Stop and Steer, Kenworth and Western Star.

Ryan is lovingly remembered by his sister Nicole (Carson), nephews Dawson and Tyler, grandmother Irene, uncles and aunts, and numerous friends who have loved him like a brother. Ryan was lucky enough to have a very solid friend group since he was a young gaffer. He was very lucky that friends have supported all his wild adventures, helped with fixing all of his vehicles and fast toys, and spent time with him fishing, camping and hunting. We have been blessed to have an amazing support network especially since Ryan’s journey was cut short when he was in a catastrophic accident in 2014.

Ryan has been reunified with his Mother Patti, Father Kenny and Grandfather Frank who I’m sure are very excited for the havoc he is going to create up in heaven now.

We cannot express our gratitude enough for the nurses who have taken care of Ryan for the past 8 years with such kindness, grace and respect. A special thanks to the team at Pinewood Court for loving Patti’s baby like their own. Thank you to the Doctors who ensured that Ryan was as comfortable as possible.

If there is one thing I think everyone could agree about Ryan is that he was the life of the party. He had a sick and twisted sense of humour with a laugh that brightened any room. We take comfort in knowing that Ryan’s suffering is over now and he can spice up heaven one burn out at a time. We will miss you Ryan and your legacy will continue on in all of our hearts. We will share all the stories with Dawson.

A Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, January 14, 2023 from 3:00 until 5:00 p.m. at Harbourview Funeral Centre, lower level reception hall.
