Mr. Thomas Alexander Huffman passed away on his 56th birthday on June 25, 2023 with his family by his side after a courageous two year battle with cancer.

Tom was born and raised in Thunder Bay and attended Selkirk Vocational Highschool. Upon graduation he joined the Lake Superior Scottish Regiment where he proudly served for 13 years, and attained the rank of Sergeant.  During his service he volunteered for three United Nation peacekeeping tours, one in Cyprus and two in the former Yugoslavia.

Following his service he was employed at Thunder Bay Transit and then as a Long Haul Canada/USA truck driver for Arnone Transport until his cancer diagnosis.

He is survived by the love of his life, his wife Josee, his parents, Jim and Linda, brothers Barry(Kellie), Greg(Kenna), his nieces and nephew Curtis(Brittany), Ashton, Sinead(Kristen) and Bronwyn, his great nephews and niece Zac, Mikka, Jake, Jonah and Charlie, his step daughters from a previous relationship Allisa, Leah and Tia. He's also survived by many loving friends and family. Predeceased by his grandparents, Alec and Marie Huffman and Phil and Margaret Kine.

Family was everything to Tom. His love for his family gave him his strength and courage to battle cancer like the true soldier he was. Tom was a storyteller and his great niece and nephews would sit completely enthralled listening to his life's great adventures. He put his heart and passion into everything he did. We will miss him dearly.

Cremation has taken place.

A Celebration of life barbeque will occur Saturday, July 15th @ 2:00 p.m. at 261 McCluskey Drive in Slate River for all friends and family to drop in.
