Walter "Wally" Waplak, born on September 16, 1941, passed away on August 1, 2025, with his family at his side. The family is grateful that he maintained his sense of humour, his selfless style, and his independence throughout his life. Whether you knew him as Dad, Papa, or Wally, he always greeted you with a smile. You were likely to be offered something to eat, listened to stories about his mill life and his coffee house friends. He enjoyed everyday with a smile, driving, drinking coffee with friends, watching wrestling, and finding a deal. He will be missed by all who walked along side of him in his life. Wally is survived by his son Jeff (Shani), daughter Jennifer Fors (Calvin) and grandchildren Jake, Max, Maric and Ben.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Columbus Centre (301 S May St) on Friday, August 8th at 11:00a.m.
