Wesley Harold Stadey, age 82 years, passed away peacefully on April 16 2023 in St. Joseph’s Hospital, Hospice Unit, with family by his side.
Wesley will be dearly missed by his family Blair (Corina) Stadey and children Garrett, Kristen, and Jessica, Todd (Suzanne) Stadey and children Christopher and Nicole, Sheri-Lee (Brian) Carberry and children Eric and Izach, Dwayne (Monica) Stadey and children Wesley, Blake and Katie-Lyn, Angela (Andrew) Abram and children Kelsey, Taylor and Joshua, Melissa (Brandon) Bryant and children Andrew, Hayden and Paige, and Melanie McKean and child Brianna along with three great grandchildren Kealy, Kobi and Karter, and his two siblings Gordon Stadey and Margaret Stadey, along with so many nieces and nephews and his very special partner in life Gail Pelletier.
He was predeceased by his son Gregory Pelletier, his granddaughter Carlee Vinkle, his parents Wesley and Isobel Stadey, George (Eva) Stadey, Jack (Evelyn) Stadey, Tom (Silvia) Stadey, Gilbert (Beverly) Stadey, Gail Stadey, Kenneth (Beatrice) Stadey, Isobel Stadey, and baby Jean Stadey.
Many thanks to the staff of St Joseph 3 south, 4 north and hospice -you looked after our Dad as if he was your own and we are so grateful for the compassion and great care - you treated him with such dignity. A very special thank you to Gail she set such a wonderful living example of what a friend does for a friend in distress - we appreciate you - and I know Dad appreciated having his 2 best gals by his side during these difficult days.
A celebration on Wesley’s life with take place on Saturday April 22 2023 at the Kakabeka Legion from 1pm until 3pm. Cremation and private family internment will have already taken place on Friday at 3:30 Riverside Cemetery.
If friends so desire, donations may be made in Wesley’s memory to Thunder Bay SPCA in honour of his son Gregory or Sick Kids Hospital Toronto as his last gift to his granddaughter Carlee.
