In May 2020, Ontario Northland began offering bus service between Thunder Bay and Winnipeg, with two return trips per week, following Greyhound Canada's pullout from the region.

A collision closed Highway 17 west of Nipigon just after 2 p.m. on Saturday.

Collision involved a transport and a pick-up truck.

SCHREIBER — Schreiber Public School was closed on Friday as police investigated an incident nearby. According to police, there was no danger to the public and the situation has since been resolved.
