Motorist nabbed doing 178 kilometres per hour

A stunt driving charge was laid against a 31-year-old male driver from Scarborough.

RED ROCK – A motorist caught driving more than 170 kilometres an hour near Red Rock has been charged with stunt driving.

OPP said they clocked the 31-year-old male driver, who was not identified, going 178 kilometres and hour in a 90-kilometre zone on Highway 11-17, the offence occurring on April 9 at about 9:30 p.m.

The accused, from Scarborough, had his licence automatically suspended for 30 days, his vehicle impounded for 14 days and is scheduled to return to court in Nipigon on May 12.
