UPDATED: One person deceased in Highway 11 collision

GREENSTONE — Ontario Provincial Police continue to investigate a fatal collision on Highway 11 over the weekend.'

A 25-year-old man from Caledon, Ontario was pronounced dead at the scene.

His name was not released.

Police said Monday the incident occurred shortly after 11:30 a.m. on Saturday near Castlebar Lake Road, 35 kilometres east of Longlac.

The collision involved a tractor-trailer unit, and a van in which the victim was travelling.

Two people in the transport truck were injured and taken to hospital.

OPP said although the investigation is ongoing, they do not anticipate laying any charges in connection with the collision.

NOTE:  This story was updated at 6:19 pm on Apr. 14 after OPP confirmed the deceased person's family had been informed of his death.
