Police arrest one, seize drugs after executing search warrant in Longlac residence

The accused, a 27-year-old from Longlac, is charged with two counts of drug possession for the purpose of trafficking, and one count of possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000.

GREENSTONE — A 27-year-old faces charges after a search warrant uncovered quantities of suspected drugs in a Longlac residence.

Provincial police said officers executed a search warrant on Wednesday, leading to the seizures of suspected cocaine and crystal methamphetamine, along with items associated with drug trafficking.

The accused, from Longlac, is charged with two counts of drug possession for the purpose of trafficking, and one count of possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000.

The accused remains in custody and is expected to appear in a Thunder Bay bail court on Thursday.
