Fall 2022 will be extra busy for the people of Ontario. It is an election year and many individuals may be considering running for public office. To help residents from Manitouwadge aspiring to run for city council, the township is offering a Candidate Information Workshop.

The Marathon local hospital has long had to deal with shortage of long-term care beds, and being at 100% capacity for years. The recent government announcement to fund 14 new long-term care beds in the community will offer some relief.
