It is with great sadness that the Bold family announce the loss of a husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. Stanley Lazar Bold aka “Stan the Man”, age 74, passed away peacefully on November 13, 2021 at the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre with family by his side.

Stan had a great love for the outdoors; hunting and fishing were his favoured pastimes. Raised in Dorion, Ontario, gardening was and inherited passion that continued throughout his life. He will be remembered for generously sharing his harvest amongst family and friends. We will all miss his homemade soups.

Stan began his employment as an electrician right out of school, he worked for many years at C.A. Johnson Electric and Prezio Electric before his retirement.

Stan was an avid sportsman and season ticket holder at the Fort William Gardens where he loved to go meet friends, socialize and indulge in the game of hockey.

Stan is survived by his beloved wife of 48 years, Manon, his children Nancy Allard and Julie Bold (Karl Friedl), grandchildren Jayda (Brock) and Jersey Allard, sister Margaret Johnson, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents Lazar and Eva Bold.

We would like to thank the amazing doctors and nurses at the TBRHSC for their care and compassion during this difficult time.
