About two weeks ago I observed an individual from a group of three at that location intentionally damage a woman's car as she turned onto Peter St. She parked up the street and walked back to confront the male individual responsible but he ignored her and walked away.
Perhaps she is one that complained. I would too!

My grandfather used to get fresh drinking water from the spring in Victoria Park before as I understand it, the County Fair plaza development led to it being sealed off.
I walk through Victoria Park frequently and it seems the natural elements are a force to be reckoned with as in the last few years the ground is so wet that the grass can't be cut in spots and water is trickling over the sidewalk now.
I loved that fresh spring water. Maybe we should open it again!

The Landlord Tenant Act needs to be overhauled.
The laws seem to have swung so far in favour of tenants that it seems the landlord has few if any rights left. I have a friend enduring a problem tenant and was thinking about approaching Jill Dunlop as some pressure needs to be put on officials to amend the act.

He may be homeless....but apparently of Brampton?
I often ponder why we have homeless people in Orillia that have no connection to the city.

Come spring it will be too rainy.
Come summer too hot?
Is this a result of being ordered back to work?
Canada Post is forcing us to find alternative methods.
I just read an article about economics in Financial Post that says "rule of thumb that government spends twice as much to do anything as the private sector would".

It's a renters world. The landlord seems to have no rights. My daughter moved over 100 km ftom GTA and is now a single mother needing to kind her own home...but she is caught in this world where the renter is playing hard ball with her. She offered to sell to them but they are playing games...they won't buy ...they won't move. She's been waiting for months and has an arbitration hearing in January which is also costing her money. I have been a small time landlord myself, but would never do it again. I caution anyone who thinks it's a good way to make money. Renters have all the rights.

Does anyone remember Sandra Pupatello, former Minister of Community and Social Services?

Sad to read about the loss of Bryon. I have many good memories of Bryon over the years, especially as a child growing up on Big Chief Rd where our families were the first settlers there.
Time passes much too quickly...

I'm sorry to read about Herb. I worked with Herb at Trillium Cable in Orillia. I recall being so intrigued by the quality of the films he produced of his trips, and I never forgot his travel tips. He indeed was was a gracious man.
I sometimes wondered if he had remained in Orillia.

I've made a point of looking at the vehicles parked at the park and a coach trying to maneuver Terry Fox Circle about three weeks back (another commentor saw three coaches) and they are not from a neighbouring cities or township. Many or perhaps most are from the GTA.
I have also been watching to see who has any takeout that may have been purchased here or even groceries purchased here...but it appears every last item hauled out of the trunk was brought from home and not a cent put into our local economy. As the letter to the editor said we are left with the cost of their garbage disposal, but they also use the bathrooms. I also saw three men filling containers for cooking at the water bottle filling station while I waited and waited to fill my water bottle.
Nothing is for free, everyone knows that, so those that don't contribute to the taxes that support the park should have to pay a user fee. The coaches should pay a hefty sum.
