In spite of the challenges students at St. Joseph Catholic Elementary School in Geraldton faced because of the pandemic, the French as a Second Language students pulled together to come out winners. Under the guidance of their teacher Karen Gardiner, they entered an International Language competition and came away with a first place ranking.

So many students who attend schools within the southwest region of Northern Ontario, show how much they care about others within their community and around the world. The students of Manitouwadge High School chose a special project to show just that.

As Pink Shirt day was recognized by so many Canadians last month, a Grade 4 class from St. Edward Catholic School in Nipigon, took that day's meaning one step further.

Congratulations to Rodney Wawia of St. Hillory Catholic School who won the Gold medal at the regional level of the competition from Far Northern Ontario for the Skills Ontario’s Junk Drawer Races 2021-22.
