With the Ontario Ice Fishing Challenge taking place the month of February, the organization finally announced the winner of Ice Fishing Capital of Ontario, 2022.

March Break was a week filled with a variety of activities throughout the region. Townships each hosted their own celebrations and White River was no exception. The Northern Neighbours Nurse Practitioner-Led Clinic ended the March Break with their announcement of their snow sculpture winners.

The township of Schreiber and surrounding areas know of Kim Asmussen very well. As an artist he has shared many of his creations and artistry. Holy Angel Catholic School was able to see this first hand when a group of students were given the opportunity to create snow shoe art.

The Ministry of Long-term Care is making the addition of 68 new and 60 upgraded beds possible for the township of Kapuskasing. It recently announced that it is providing the township the financial commitment needed to build a new building, the Extendicare Kapuskasing, long-term care new building.
