Millions in funding announced for agriculture, small business and forestry

The community of Nipigon Red Rock will make the arrival for a Ukrainian family a very welcoming. Students at Nip-Red-Rock High School with the help of members of their school community, came together to make perogies and fund raise for this family.

For many young children and their parents, starting school for the first time, can bring with it some apprehension and uncertainty. Manitouwadge Public School wants to help minimize that, by offering their School Yard Story Walk days. This event will provide parents and their child an active and visual opportunity to see what the school yard features.

Technology based learning came alive for many Superior North Catholic District School students. During the month of March they took part in an initiative sponsored by Skills Ontario and Ontario Youth Apprenticeship Program. This facilitated a glance into the trade of carpentry and other skilled trades.

Fundraising for Manitouwadge High School student council adopted a new purpose. With the help of their teacher advisor and guidance counsellor, the students at MHS chose to sponsor a child from Haiti. They shared an update with their school community providing them with a glimpse of what her daily life entails.
